What do I measure?
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics processes page visits, project and link clicks, sections viewed, scroll depth, traffic sources, device/browser information and approximate country/city. I use this to understand interest in my work and improve the site.
Your choice and cookies
Google Analytics does not load before you allow it. When enabled, it uses analytics cookies beginning with _ga. Your choice is stored in your browser for 180 days. Change it using “Analytics preferences” at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing permission clears analytics cookies and stops measurement. You can use the site without allowing analytics.
Data sharing
Detailed user and event data in Google Analytics is retained for 14 months. Aggregate statistics may remain available for longer.
Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics and may be transferred to servers abroad. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled. I do not record session videos or keystrokes. Clicking the email link is measured; the contents of your email are not tracked. Unnecessary URL query parameters are excluded from analytics data.
The site is hosted on Vercel. Technical requests and server logs needed to serve and protect the site are separate from optional visitor analytics.
